Above all, we believe that collaboration is the best way forward.Primary ResponsibilitiesH DR is looking for a Senior Water Resources Engineer/Green Infrastructure in our Water Resources Market Sector in New York and New Jersey.Specific duties include:Lead design of water resources and stormwater/green infrastructure projects and interface with clients in New York and New JerseyCoordinate and lead a multidiscipline design teams and interface with clients throughout the entire life cycle of projects from planning stages to concept design and through the development of construction documents, permit applications and construction administration.Develop planning studies, alternative analyses, conceptual designs, construction drawings, specifications, and supporting engineering calculations and cost estimates, as well as the review of shop drawings during construction.Demonstrate knowledge and experience in urban retrofits and development, including green infrastructure in the right-of-way, parks or other open spaces, and the design of building/facility related site civil (site plans, grading, utilities/yard piping, storm drainage, stormwater BMPs, and erosion control) is required, working experience with NYC clients, especially with NYCDEP.This individual should be self-motivated, collaborative and possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills with initiativeOther duties as assigned.Required QualificationsBS Degree in Water Resources or Civil Engineering or related Engineering disciplinePE10 years of experience in water resource engineering including stormwater management, and green infrastructure.Experience with Green Infrastructure and Stormwater Design in New York CityStrong operating knowledge of Civil 3D requiredAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustPreferred QualificationsStrong knowledge of modeling software such as HEC-RAS, Hydraflow Storm Sewers, Hydraflow Hydrographs, HydroCAD, Bentley StormCAD, etc.; familiarity with InfoWorks ICM and/or SWMM modeling products.MS or MSCE Degree in Civil Engineering preferredPrevious experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm leading designs focused on stormwater solutions desired.PE in NY and NJ is preferred.At least 3 years of experience managing direct reports, for workload, utilization, performance reviews, etc.An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustLocal candidates are preferred.Why HDRAt HDR, we know work isn't only about who you work for it's also about what you do and how you do it.
