Freese and Nichols is seeking a Senior Water Treatment Leader in Jacksonville, FL. As the Senior Water Treatment Leader, you will provide technical consulting services related to water, wastewater, reclaimed and reuse water treatment. You will serve as a local, regional, and national technical subject matter expert, advancing our firm's capabilities and working with our nationally-recognized team in delivering technical solutions to challenging water problems. You will partner with clients to create and develop projects and help establish client accounts with multiple professional service practices. You will be a key part of our leadership team nationally, and in Florida, working to ensure projects meet internal quality expectations and client expectations.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Serve as senior engineer providing technical guidance, advisory services, and quality control review on water, wastewater, reclaimed, and reuse water projects
* Provide national technical expertise on use of advanced water treatment technologies for alternative water supply projects
* Develop relationships with identified key and strategic client accounts
* Mentor technical team
* Stay updated on regulations and technological advancements
* Participate with our leadership team in developing and implementing Freese and Nichols business development strategies
* Assist with the coordination of and attend client events, meetings and conferences
* Prepare, attend and participate in business development presentations such as lunch and learns, brown bags and trainings
* Represent Freese and Nichols through involvement in related industry professional organizations and/or community leadership roles
* Develop teaming strategies for specific opportunities
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering (or equivalent)
* 8+ years' experience in water/wastewater engineering, including specific experience in making independent decisions on engineering problems and methods for treatment, conveyance systems with resiliency and sustainability
* Professional Engineer Registration in Florida (or the ability to become registered in Florida within 6 months)
* Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a project team and oversee excellent quality of work
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree in civil or environmental engineering (or equivalent)
