We're seeking a future team member for the role of SVP, Senior Wealth Strategist, to join our Wealth Management team. This role is located in New York, NY (HYBRID), and is a direct report to the Regional President. In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
  • Advising a diverse range of Ultra High Net Worth clients on clients on all aspects of estate & gift tax planning, family governance, philanthropy and family wealth and business succession strategies.
  • Monitoring and researching tax regulations and publications to evaluate potential impact on client tax rates and documentation requirements.
  • Researching market best practices related to tax reporting and compliance for specialized entities including those related to transaction taxes, withholding taxes, and statutory taxes.
  • Working with clients, their attorneys and accountants as a trusted partner to implement plans to mitigate tax risk.
  • Promote thought leadership both internally and externally.
  • Provide support and guidance to less experienced team members as needed.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
  • Bachelor's degree with J.D. or Masters degree is required.
  • Experience in tax analysis and advisory strongly preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience working with Ultra High Net Worth clients as a Wealth Strategy partner.
  • Financial Services experience, with Ultra High Net Worth client exposure, preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, experience working in a highly detail-oriented environment, proficiency with Microsoft Office, proven verbal and written communication skills are also preferred.

The base salary for this position is expected to be between $135,900 and $251,400 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
