Job Summary: The Sensory Specialist ensures that products meet all sensory requirements before they reach the client and consumer. This includes planning and conducting sensory evaluations throughout the production process from raw materials through finished goods in accordance with the sensory control plan, procedures, and work instructions. Primary Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the tasting process and sensory analysis in accordance with Asahi standards
- Implement and verify compliance with the frequencies in the sensory control plan
- Prepares samples from the process and stability room daily
- Prepares samples for taster education and validation sessions according to the schedule
- Perform, centralize, and report the results for the following activities:
- Taster education (beginners, advanced, and from the taster proficiency testing system)
- Internal tastings including finished product, process samples, raw material receptions, materials, and flavor stability
- Special tastings
- Competitor quality analysis tastings.
- Beer stability evaluations
- Establish and maintain the sensory minimum mandatory sampling plan
- Manage inventories of required sensory supplies
- Communicate effectively with all departments within the facility:
- Deviations from specifications of the sensory and stability analysis
- Results of all the monitoring and verification activities
- Deviations related to non-compliance with the internal and external regulations
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Follow and enforce GMP and safety guidelines
- Maintain 5S of the sensory lab
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
