Job Summary: The role of a server is to serve all guests and/or members and take care of their needs and requests as it pertains to their dining experience. You are also responsible for bringing the guest and/or members incredible customer service by menu and product knowledge, completing correct orders, timely/friendly service, and anticipating and accommodating any and all of the guests and/or members needs.Job Responsibilities:* Ensure that food is prepared correctly and to customers satisfaction as well as company standards; returns incorrect or improperly cooked orders to kitchen* Serves food and beverages to guests as per the restaurants standards in a friendly, timely and efficient manner* Ensure that the guests have a pleasant dining experience* Obtain complete knowledge about ingredients, flavors and suggestions about menu items* Inform guests about special items for the day and menu changes.* Take food and beverage orders* Collect plates and clears the table as customers finish their meals* Obtain revenues, issue receipts, accept payments* Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor* Complete pre-shift and post-shift duties including setup and teardown of certain stations* All other duties as assignedQualificationsEducation and Experience:* Must be at least sixteen years old (at least 18 years old to serve alcoholic beverages)* Previous experience as a server preferred* Must successfully compete food safety, alcohol & job training.* Sufficient education and literacy needed to identify and read product labels and to communicate with guests about job-related needs* Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in basic English preferred.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:* Knowledge of special diets to ensure safety of guests when ordering food* Basic Knowledge of Spirits, Beer, Wine & Beverages* Ability to work well in a team environment* Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills* Well-organized with ability to take and place food and beverage orders accordingly* Ability to operate point-of-sale systems* Detail-oriented and thorough* Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of guests* Ability to perform consistent work to the highest standards* Ability to interact with guests in a pleasant, friendly way* Ability to multi-task and manage multiple guests at a time
