Job Description:

  • Anticipate and service the guest's needs before requests are necessary.
  • Retrieve and stock all linen, china, silver, glassware and food and beverage items.
  • Complete opening and closing side work as assigned and have all tables set according to standard.
  • Provide unobtrusive and professional service.
  • Provide water, bread and butter service throughout the meal to guests.
  • Offer coffee or tea and serve any requested according to hotel standards.
  • Crumb tables.
  • Carry trays properly and safely as well as break them down.
  • Clear tables and reset them for specific number of persons.
  • Provide quick and attentive assistance to any mishap in the restaurant.
  • Breakdown any buffets, displays or stations between service or when needed.
  • Assist servers when needed.
  • Recognize and address potential intoxicated disruptive or undesirable guests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 0-2 year of food service experience. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
  • Certified in CPR, First Aid AED
  • Organizational skills.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Solid communication skills.
  • Average reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
  • Strong commitment to service.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts as will involve days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to go up and down staircase as well as stoop and bend.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
