Job Summary: The Food Server is responsible for creating the overall dining experience for our guests. The role will be accountable for interacting with guests, taking food & beverage orders as well as ensuring an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Greet guest in apositive, friendly manner and make them feel welcome upon seating.
* Guide guest through all phases of their experience at the restaurant.
* Consistently follow sequence of service utilizing all proper procedures standarized by management.
* Rotate to other Food & Beverage outlets/venues, as necessary.
* Maintain table cleanliness utilizing silent table approach.
* Itemized bills correctly and efficiently secure payment.
* Ensure table side food service and quality presentation.
* Maintain cleanliness and stock of assigned sections, side stations, tables and POS stations.
* Anticipate the guests' needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency.
* Review identification of customers to verify they are of legal drinking age.
* Maintain level of professionalism that will make guest want to return.
* Exhibit proper knowledge, selling techniques of all menu items; food, non alcoholic beverages and alcoholic beverages.
* Deliver food & beverages, including alcoholic options to guests.
* Provide proper communication and promptly resolve guest issues.
* Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing.
* Work as a team, assisting all guests' needs and inquiries.
* Ensure all Conrad Nashville core values as well as property and department standards are implemented and applied.
* Bid farewell to guests, using guest's name when known and encourage them to return.
* Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
* 3+ years of experience in a hotel, restaurant, or catering facility of similar caliber preferred.
* Experience in fast paced, high volume atmosphere.
* Good organizational and communication skills.
* Ability to obtain & maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and
* department rules and regulations, policies, and procedures.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Ability to read, write & speak fluent English.
* Flexible schedule is necessary which includes but not limited to days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
* Position requires regular and reliable attendance.
* Good team spirit.
* At least 18 years of age.
* Must have ServSafe and TABC license
Physical Requirements:
* Most work tasks are performed indoors, temperature can be very hot with or without control of environmental systems.
* Must be able to stand for long periods of time
* Must be able to maneuver between stations and areas efficiently and easily
* Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
* Requires manual dexterity
* Must be flexible to work any day of the week, weekends, and holidays if assigned.
