Location Newtown Athletic Club Description
- Greet each member and guest with an upbeat voice and welcoming smile
- Learn and demonstrate an understanding of the food, beverage and ingredients of all of the offerings; be able to guide guests through menus in a manner that creates interest and enthusiasm while promoting items by utilizing suggestive selling techniques
- Provide guests with a reason to return by interacting in the Restaurant & Caf seating area and throughout the pool complex, build rapport, deliver the best possible service and experience during our guests' visits
- Take accurate orders and partner with team members to serve food and beverages that meet or exceed guests' expectations inside the restaurant area and around the outdoor pool complex
- Provide friendly and attentive service that makes guests feel well taken care of and builds their intent to return
- Prepare for general restaurant operations by completing all side work designated on the opening and closing check lists;
- Maintain a sanitary environment; including keeping guest's tables and service area clean.
- Handle products properly, using equipment and keeping accurate logs in accordance with food safety and safety guidelines.
- Support culinary operations
- Clear and turnover tables in a quick and efficient manner
- Operate cash register and complete food checks and secure proper payment
Position Requirements
- Complete PA Criminal Background Check
- Previous experience preferred
- Friendly, welcoming, outgoing personality required
- Upbeat, positive and optimistic attitude required
- Effective verbal communication skills are a must
- Outstanding time management and organizational skills to work in a multi-task, fast-paced environment with general supervision
- Patient, courteous listener with the ability to show empathy required
- Ability to interact professionally with multiple levels of personnel within the organization internally and externally
- Effective verbal communication skills are a must
- Highly motivated, self-starting professional
- May sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk frequently during the day
- May stand four (4) to eight (8) hours per day
- May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion
- Visual acuity to see and read fine prints
- Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to hear normal voice sounds
