Job Type Full-timeDescriptionJuan's servers work in concert with each other andother staff and management to create and sustainthe Juan's guest experience. Through hospitableservice and actions, a Juan's server is responsiblefor catering to ourguests and making them feelwelcome, comfortable, and valued.By being knowledgeable of our menu and its uniqueofferings a Juan's server can direct guests to ourquality food and drink items satisfying not only theirappetites but also their desires for a positive andmemorable dining experience.Duties? Prepares the tables with all necessarycomponents for great service: ensures thetables are clean and set with napkins andutensils, making sure the condiments andcaddies are filled, and clean menus areavailable and accessible.? Ensures that guest's orders are properly andkindly taken, based on server recommendationsand/or guest's preferences, carefully enteredinto the POS system, retrieved from the kitchen,delivered timely to the table, and delivered asdescribed on the menu and/or as ordered? Suggests dishes, assists in drink selection,informs customers about food preparationdetails, and communicates specific customerneeds to the cooks? Maintains great service experience bycontinuing to fulfill customer needs, offeringappetizers, sides and desserts, removing emptyplates and finished dishes, replacing utensils,and replenishing drinks? Maintains accurate orders in the POSthroughout service.? Delivers accurate checks to tables, acceptspayments, and returns change or charge slip tobe signed by guest.? Maintains professional working relationshipswith all Staff Members? Stays updated on current menu choices,specialties, and menu deviations, knows if thekitchen staff is running out of any items etc.? Asks for assistance and direction as needed? Reports inappropriate guest and Staff Memberbehavior and work hazards to Supervisor forproper resolution? Performs side work that may include: rollingsilverware, making tea and coffee, washing barglassware, cutting garnish fruit, filling hotsauces, cleaning restrooms, sweeping andmopping the dining room(s).RequirementsJuan's Servers should be friendly, attentive, andenthusiastic while accommodating guest's requestsand delivering Juan'ss quality food and drink alongwith their menu and restaurant knowledge.Required? Must be at least 18 years of age? Must be able to acquire a Responsible VendorPermit and/or file an existing one with your storemanager within 45 days of hire dateAppearance:? Must follow Health Board, Corporate, and storelevel guidelines for appearance, which mayinclude personal grooming and uniformadherence.Language:? Must speak fluently and be able to write inEnglishExperience:? Excellent customer sales & service,communication, and interpersonal skills.Previous restaurant experience preferred
