In the hotel/restaurant business, there is no such thing as a one man show, so we rely on all of our staff to do their part. The Breakfast Server position is a critical part of our team. Their role will be crucial in delivering the best possible experience for our guests!
A breakfast server's responsibilities include:
- Preparing: Setting up the dining room and server station for breakfast service
- Taking orders: Accurately recording orders on digital handheld and assisting with question regarding QR Code ordering platform
- Delivering food and drinks: Bringing meals to tables and ensuring timely delivery
- Providing customer service: Answering questions, explaining specials, and ensuring guests have a good experience
- Cleaning: Removing used dishes, cleaning tables and chairs, and emptying trash
- Following procedures: Complying with all restaurant policies and procedures
- Setting tables: Setting tables properly
- Assisting with other duties: Performing side work and helping with cleaning duties
Here are the job qualifications we are looking for:
- Experience as Breakfast Server or similar role in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Understanding of hygiene and safety protocols and standards
- Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time
- Multi-Tasking abilities
- Good oral communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced work environment
- Be able to walk and stand during entire shift
- Be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Be able to stand and walk around throughout an 8 hour shift
- Food Handlers/Serve Safe certification
- Strong customer service skills
- Physical stamina
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to work well with others
- Punctuality and reliability
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Basic math skills
