JOB SUMMARY:

As Restaurant Server, you are a member of the TMG Restaurant Team. You will conduct business according to the details of your job description and the employee manual, making the customer our #1 priority. As a member of the TMG team you will be required to live and breathe our mission to seize opportunity, lead with passion and be the absolute best.

Organizational mandates:

Job Knowledge

+ Each Server is required to thoroughly know the POS system: Pos-Touch, opening and closing procedures.

+ Keep everything as neat and clean as possible. This includes sweeping throughout the shift. Cleaning and wiping down equipment, glass fixtures and walls.

+ We will accept reservations. Discuss with manager before accepting.

+ Knowledge of menu items and how they are prepared.

+ Must be able to lift 15 pounds.

+ Servers are to keep their areas clean and tidy.

+ Each employee is expected to carry out all reasonable requests by management, which the employee is capable of performing.

+ Maintain all your tables with the necessities and clear away all non-essentials as the meal progresses.

+ Must have the ability to up sell.

+ All servers are expected to bus, wipe-down and re-set their own tables.

Customer Service

+ Must have extremely high emphasis on hospitality.

+ When not busy with customers, assist those who are.

+ Must have good phone etiquette.

+ You must be aware of guests and anticipate their needs

+ Greet and seat customers as they are entering the restaurant.

+ You need to provide the best possible service every minute every day.

+ While you are taking an order, look at the customer and smile as you speak. Eye contact is an effective form of communication.

+ Work closely with fellow co-workers to maximize the customers dining experience by helping one another

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

+ Preferred at least two years of experience in Restaurant Industry or Service experience.

+ Previous customer service experience considered an asset

+ Ability to adhere to policies/procedures/standards (written and oral)

+ Able to operate effectively as part of a team in a fast paced environment

Postural & Physical Demand Requirements

+ Frequent reaching above waist, chest and shoulder level as well as below waist level

+ Frequent to continuous need for manual dexterity of both hands (handling, gripping, fine finger controls etc,)

+ Continuous standing on tiled surfaces for all tasks

+ Frequent hip flexion while walking for all tasks
