You will be able to let your personality shine while serving your guests from an inspired menu of Chef Driven food creations and a wine list driven by our passion for Sonoma County and Napa Valley wine country. You will engage our guests with friendly, prompt, and attentive service that is perfectly tailored to their pace while letting your unique personality shine.
Summary of Position:
Servers at SoNapa Grille efficiently manage assigned table section while monitoring the pace and experience of each Guest following SoNapa Grille hospitality standards. They make memorable first and last impressions by letting their personality shine. They use their wealth of food and beverage menu knowledge to share favorites and provide recommendations, all while anticipating needs, processing Guests orders, and taking payment in a hospitable, timely manner.
What am I responsible for as a Server at SoNapa Grille?
* I will warmly greet my guests in a timely fashion with a genuine sense of hospitality.
* I will guide guests through the menu with confidence by having a strong working knowledge of the food and wine choices.
* I will make heartfelt recommendations based on personal favorites and by listening to my guests.
* I will answer guest questions using my extensive menu knowledge.
* I will take orders efficiently and accurately while being mindful of special instructions and allergies.
* I will deliver food accurately and warmly.
* I will check back with my tables often while keeping table well maintained at all times.
* I will ask for help before it affects the guest, and I will offer help as needed.
* I will tailor the pace my guests experience by reading their cues.
* I will ensure the guests are aware of our Vineyard Rewards Loyalty Program before the check is presented.
* I will always be check ready and able to cash out tables quickly and accurately.
* I will thank our guests for choosing SoNapa Grille and warmly invite them back for a future visit.
* I will help clean, bus and reset my tables.
* I will support the quality of the shift by performing assigned running side work.
* I will follow the direction of my leadership team while supporting the Mission of SoNapa Grille.
Server Qualifications:
* I must have a basic working knowledge of a full-service restaurant.
* I must be able to engage my guests and my team in guest-driven hospitable manner.
* I must be able to carry a tray for service often weighing 15 lbs. or more.
* I must have some level of money handling experience.
* I must be able to work 5-6 hours on my feet.
* I must be able to take direction from my leadership team.
