SERVERWho you are: Server provides table service to residents, staff, and guests by taking orders for food and beverages, delivering orders to the table, and ensuring that residents, staff, and guests have a pleasant dining experience. The Server will prepare and serve specialty coffee, other beverages, and select food items to residents, staff, and guests.What you will do:
- Greets residents as they are seated at the table; ensures the table is clean and that utensils, napkins, and other needs have been provided.
- Distributes menus and presents the daily specials.
- Answers questions regarding the menu.
- Takes food and beverage orders and delivers them to the kitchen.
- Delivers food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items to residents.
- Ensures that food is prepared correctly and to everyone's' satisfaction; returns incorrect or improperly cooked orders to kitchen.
- Collects plates and clears the table as soon as the meals have been finished.
- Assists with other kitchen tasks such as cleaning the dining area and preparing silverware and condiments.
- Prepares and serves hot and cold beverages, such as coffee, blended coffee, and tea, to all correctly and customizes orders as requested.
- Serves prepared foods and baked goods.
- Ensures that all service stations are properly stocked with paper products or beverage preparation items.
- Cleans and sanitizes all equipment, utensils, dishes, and work areas.
- Cleans and sanitizes service and seating areas.
- Ensures proper functioning of freezers, refrigerators, and heating by routinely checking temperatures in that equipment.
- Stocks supplies or retail products; may inventory, order, or receive products as directed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Organizes and utilizes time appropriately; sets priorities to accomplish assigned tasks.
Training and Experience:
- Food Handler Certification (Preferred)
- Experience in dealing with elderly and their dietary needs.
- Experience in a similar position with a long term or related facility.
Universal Precautions: Exposure to blood/bodily fluids is unlikely.Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 40-50 pounds regularly during work hours (heavy work level)Salary Description $17.50 to $19 /hour
