Key responsibilities include setting places at dining tables, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and answering inquiries about menu items as well as maximizing sales by suggestively selling other items on the menu. Restaurant Servers are highly knowledgeable of all Company safety and sanitation policies, procedures, and protocols, skilled at using Point of Sale information (POSi) and other restaurant systems, and flexible in responding to operational needs with a can-do  approach. Essential Job Duties: Performs all food service, cash/credit-card handling, set-up, cleaning and sanitation work activities in accordance with requirements outlined in the Server Manual, IDPRP manual, and management directives. Ensures 100% guest satisfaction through consistent application of Server Manual requirements. Responds to upset guests with compassion and a solutions-driven approach, and immediately involves management when incidents escalate or become unsafe. Performs all side work, inventory and restocking activities according to Server Manual requirements and management directives. Processes transactions using Toast according to established procedures and training requirements. Monitors guest behavior according to alcohol awareness procedures in order to prevent intoxication and follows all protocols in handling intoxicated guests. As requested by management, performs other work activities to support the safe and efficient operation of the restaurant. This is a seasonal position running from approximately May through September. Pay: $10 / hour + Tips Education, Experience & Behavior Requirements: High School Diploma/GED required Current food safety certification, such as ServSafe and SafeStaff 2 years of experience performing restaurant server duties Work Behaviors: Exemplifies the Company's values (PRIDE) Demonstrates a responsive, caring and respectful approach in all personal interactions with others Wears approved manufacturer certified slip resistant or non-slip shoes at all times while working Complies with all safety and sanitation, food service, beverage and alcohol, code of conduct, work rules and management instructions, deadlines, policies and procedures Complies with all hygiene and personal grooming requirements Arrives to work on time in designated restaurant uniform Fosters a workplace culture of hospitality, respect, safe and sanitation Participates in all required trainings and completes all required examinations Team player and can-do mindset in supporting all business operational needs Knowledge and Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to effectively engage others verbally Ability to listen and speak in basic English in order to maintain effective communications in the performance of essential job functions Ability to read and comprehend data sources, written work instructions, policies, procedures and other work materials in English in order to perform essential duties in accordance with safety, sanitation and operational standards and trainings Demonstrated skill in the application of point of sale and other information systems to effectively and correctly execute various transactions Physical Demands: Lift and carry up to 30 lbs. Balance and walk with heavy trays, dinnerware and drinks full time.
