Job Summary:
Cavender Auto Group's GMC Buck North dealership is seeking a customer-oriented and knowledgeable Service Advisor to join our team. The Service Advisor is responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience by guiding customers through the vehicle service process, from initial consultation to completion. This role involves assessing vehicle needs, recommending services, and ensuring customers are informed and satisfied with the service they receive.
Key Responsibilities:
* Customer Consultation: Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, listen to their concerns, and accurately document their vehicle service needs.
* Service Recommendations: Evaluate vehicle condition based on customer input, technician reports, and diagnostic tools; recommend necessary and preventive maintenance services.
* Work Order Preparation: Prepare detailed work orders, including parts, labor, and estimated costs, ensuring transparency and accuracy in the service process.
* Communication: Keep customers informed about the status of their vehicle throughout the service process, including any additional repairs or delays.
* Upselling and Cross-Selling: Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional services that would benefit the customer's vehicle and enhance their overall experience.
* Customer Follow-Up: Conduct post-service follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction, address any concerns, and promote repeat business.
* Liaison Role: Serve as a liaison between the customer and the service technicians, ensuring clear communication and understanding on both sides.
* Maintain Service Records: Ensure all service records are properly documented and updated in the dealership's system.
* Team Collaboration: Work closely with service technicians, parts department, and other dealership staff to ensure a seamless service experience for customers.
* Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies, service techniques, and dealership promotions to provide informed recommendations to customers.
Qualifications:
* Experience: Previous experience as a service advisor, or in a related automotive customer service role, is preferred.
* Automotive Knowledge: Strong understanding of automotive maintenance and repair procedures, with the ability to explain these to customers in layman's terms.
* Customer Service Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on providing outstanding customer service.
* Sales Skills: Ability to identify and communicate additional services that may benefit the customer, leading to increased service sales.
* Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple customers and service orders simultaneously.
* Problem-Solving: Ability to handle customer concerns and complaints effectively, resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
* Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using dealership software systems for service scheduling, record-keeping, and communication.
* Valid Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
