- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Excellent computer skills & ability to learn new programs quickly
- Excellent organization and follow up skills are required
- The ability to follow department procedures and policies
- 1 year of customer service experience or service advisor experience preferred
- Driver's License required
- Pass drug and background screen required
Service Advisor ResponsibilitiesAs a Service Advisor you will primarily be responsible for positively communicating with customers, initiating and processing requests for repair services, and keeping customers updated on work progress.
- Greet service department customers enthusiastically, courteously and promptly
- Listen to each customer and clearly articulate repair needs to techs
- Recommend other needed or recommended services with low pressure and high integrity
- Provide accurate estimates of repair/maintenance costs
- Adhere to dealership policies on customer vehicle care and operation
- Follow up on each repair and keep customers informed of progress
- Make sure that all work is complete
- Notify customers when vehicles are ready for pick up
- Review and explain repairs and associated costs with customers
- Handle customer concerns and complaints
- Keep Service Manager informed of all problems and potential problems
- Maintain Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) scores in accordance with dealership standards
Service Advisor Compensation
- Pay: Up to $150,000.00 per year
