31st October, 2024Service and Repair CoordinatorCompany Overview:Join our client's Technical Services team and become part of a group passionate about fixing and maintaining lighting equipment for a wide range of clients, from small event spaces to national news networks, film studios, and Broadway. Our client works with diverse customers, from high-profile news networks to school auditoriums, and offer support for various entertainment and architectural lighting needs across New York City and beyond.Key Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming service and repair calls to diagnose client issues
- Bench diagnose and repair theatrical, broadcast, and film fixtures, moving lights, and grip equipment
- Coordinate with manufacturers for repairs and services that cannot be completed in-house
- Identify the cause of failure and help prevent future issues due to improper use
- Keep up to date with manufacturer repair certifications and attend repair trainings
- Support the Technical Services Manager
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Knowledge of stage and film lighting fixtures and their typical usage
- Experience with electrical and mechanical systems
- Effective technical and concise communication skills
- Familiarity with lighting brands such as ETC, Arri, Vari*lite, Martin, and Altman
- Self-motivated with the ability to collaborate
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and documentation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maximize workflows and turn around repairs in a timely manner
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Manufacturer repair certifications are a plus
- Driver's license required
