POSITION SUMMARY: The Warehouse Associate position is responsible for the daily work of loading/unloading all inbound and outbound materials. This role also utilizes scanner technology to track inventory and metal processing equipment to prepare certain materials for shipping. This role interacts daily with leadership, employees, customers, and vendors supporting a culture of Safety, Service, and Positivity. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILTIES: - - - - - - - - Understand and follow all company policies/safety rules & participates in the safety culture. Pick, bundle and load raw materials on customer s and our own trucks. Provides excellent customer service to all customers. Maintain inventory in assigned area utilizing FIFO method. Utilize equipment in warehouse to cut/shape/burn raw materials. Maintains a high standard of housekeeping. Model the company s core values. Other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: - - - - - - - - - Excellent time management/math/written/verbal communication skills. Ability to read a tape measure. Valid Driver s License. Reliable transportation to work. Ability to work independently and as a team player. Must be able to tolerate work environment with exposure to heat, cold, dust and noise. Basic understanding of OSHA safety standards for general industry. Ability to stoop/bend/kneel/crouch/balance/climb and stand or be seated for extended periods. Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted. Preferred Qualifications: - - - - Experience working in heavy industrial environment. Experience working with overhead cranes and barcode scanners. OSHA 10. Forklift Experience.
