- Job Summary: The Service Department Greeter is responsible for providing a warm and professional welcome to customers entering the service department. This role involves assisting customers with check-in, addressing their inquiries, and ensuring a smooth and positive experience throughout their service visit.Key Responsibilities:

- Provide information about service processes, estimated wait times, and available services.
- Direct customers to appropriate service advisors or waiting areas.
- Schedule service appointments and confirm existing ones.
- Assist in managing service appointment calendars.
- Relay customer concerns or special requests to service advisors.
- Communicate with customers regarding any delays or changes in their service status.
- Ensure the waiting area is clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with refreshments and reading materials.
- Address any customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and service requests.
- Assist with data entry and other clerical tasks as needed.
- Work closely with service advisors and other staff to ensure efficient service operations.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to improving the customer experience.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in customer service or a similar role is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in using office equipment and software (e.g., computer systems, phone systems).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and move around for extended periods.
- Occasional lifting of light to moderate weights (e.g., office supplies).
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:Extended working hours may be required. Weather conditions vary depending on the season. Technicians work indoors in the service department, which is often noisy with some dust and fumes.
