  • Job Summary: The Service Department Greeter is responsible for providing a warm and professional welcome to customers entering the service department. This role involves assisting customers with check-in, addressing their inquiries, and ensuring a smooth and positive experience throughout their service visit.Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Welcome:
    • Greet customers warmly upon arrival and offer assistance.
    • Check in customers for service appointments and verify their information.

  • Provide information about service processes, estimated wait times, and available services.
  • Direct customers to appropriate service advisors or waiting areas.
  • Schedule service appointments and confirm existing ones.
  • Assist in managing service appointment calendars.
  • Relay customer concerns or special requests to service advisors.
  • Communicate with customers regarding any delays or changes in their service status.
  • Ensure the waiting area is clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with refreshments and reading materials.
  • Address any customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and service requests.
  • Assist with data entry and other clerical tasks as needed.
  • Work closely with service advisors and other staff to ensure efficient service operations.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to improving the customer experience.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in customer service or a similar role is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in using office equipment and software (e.g., computer systems, phone systems).
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand and move around for extended periods.
  • Occasional lifting of light to moderate weights (e.g., office supplies).
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:Extended working hours may be required. Weather conditions vary depending on the season. Technicians work indoors in the service department, which is often noisy with some dust and fumes. Technician may be exposed to battery acid, gasoline, chemical cleaning material or other toxic materials commonly found in motor vehicle service departments, some of which may be considered health hazards.Don K is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
