  • The Service Desk assistant will provide support in the Leatherby Library to provide assistance and computer support for Chapman University end users.
  • Assist users in the labs, classrooms, and public access areas with printing and computer problems.
  • Assist students with ID Keycard replacement.
  • Assist end users with access, computer problems and questions.
  • Enter end-user incidents and requests into the Service Desk system while working with end users and follow all policies and procedures for entering and escalating tasks.
  • Clean the equipment in the labs and make sure that all equipment, tables, chairs, and cabling are aligned and orderly.
  • Maintain the printers in the labs and make sure they are functional and adequately supplied with paper and toner.
  • Maintain the computers (Mac and PC) in the labs, classrooms, and public access areas and make sure they are operational.
  • Monitor Chapman web and network services and print queues and report any failure to the appropriate IS&T department.
  • Assist with equipment moves and computer deployments for the labs and classrooms and transport equipment across campus.
Required Qualifications Little to minimal prior experience. Ability to learn support process. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.Desired Qualifications Candidates should have some knowledge or experience in these areas: Windows 10/11 MacOS Basic networking principles Microsoft Office suite Telephone etiquette Customer ServiceSpecial Instructions to Applicants Successful completion of a criminal background check will be required for the final candidate(s).Must have work availability: 8 am to 5 pm (Monday through Friday)Budget Information Is Federal work-study required?
