Service Desk Technician II (Full-Time Days)- Information TechnologyWho You Are:Catholic Medical Center is seeking a tech-savvy professional with a passion for solving problems and providing exceptional customer service. You are eager to assist end users with hardware, software, and systems issues, ensuring seamless operation across all levels of support.What You'll Do:
  • Display proven troubleshooting, customer service, and communication skills to diagnose, triage, and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Provide telephone, mobile messenger, web-based, and remote support to end users.
  • Create and resolve service support tickets in IT Service Management software per department guidelines and Service Level Agreements.
  • Perform backup of data files and programs, maintaining the backup media tape library.
  • Monitor the progress of jobs executing on host platforms.
  • Monitor Interface Console for consistent data transmission between information systems.
  • Audit internal procedure documentation to ensure all documentation is current.
  • Provide backup for other Service Desk staff during time off, maintaining knowledge of procedures for all shifts and functions.
  • Engage in appropriate roles during disasters, fire drills, and other emergency situations.
  • Exercise care in the operation and use of equipment and reference materials, performing routine cleaning and preventative maintenance to ensure continued equipment functionality.
Qualifications What You'll Bring: Level II
  • 1-3 years of experience in the Service Desk/Customer Service discipline and operations environment.
  • Associate degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience/professional certification.
  • Capable of resolving complex issues requiring detailed systems and applications knowledge, exercising judgment in triaging calls, and mentoring Service Desk personnel.
  • CompTIA A+ preferred.
