Job Description:
Service Director Syracuse, NYJK Executive Strategies is proud to partner with a well-established comprehensive behavioral health organization in search of a Service Director to join its team! The Service Director ensures effective program utilization and development, oversees staffing, facility management, regulatory compliance, and budgetary matters. This role includes supervising program staff, volunteers, and student interns, either directly or through delegation. As a member of the Leadership Team, the Service Director also cultivates and maintains relationships with funding and regulatory partners. Responsibilities
  • Staff Recruitment and Development: Recruit and select qualified staff and ensure ongoing development through internal and external training opportunities based on individualized performance evaluations. Oversee volunteer and student intern development.
  • Program Budget Management: Develop and manage the program budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources for program operations, building maintenance, and staff management.
  • Quality Improvement and Outcome Measurement: Implement quality improvement strategies, establish outcome standards, and utilize systems such as OASAS CDS, OMH systems, PSYCHES system, and agency data systems for effective outcome planning and measurement.
  • Clinical and Fiscal Management: Oversee clinical care, bed utilization, and fiscal management, coordinating tasks performed by Revenue Cycle Management, the Utilization Case Manager, and other responsible parties.
  • Service Provision Monitoring: Continuously monitor the provision of services to ensure high-quality care and compliance with established standards.
  • Program Evaluation and Improvement: Evaluate program strengths and weaknesses, manage problem resolution, and implement appropriate program modifications.
  • Policy Implementation: Implement organizational policies and develop related practice documents to support policy adherence.
  • Committee Participation: Actively participate in management and clinical committees as assigned.
  • Record Keeping and Accountability: Maintain appropriate program records and ensure statistical accountability.
  • Community Representation: Represent the program to the community, fostering positive relationships and increasing program visibility.
  • Grant Management: Manage program grants and actively seek funding and grant opportunities to support program growth.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor to support the overall success of the program.
Requirements
  • Must be a Qualified Health Professional (Q.H.P.) for oversight of OASAS programs; preferred for program oversight other than those certified by NYS OASAS.
  • Must be a QMHS (Qualified Mental Health Staff person) if providing oversight to OMH SRO or Treatment Program.
  • Minimum of five years of clinical experience appropriate to the program setting.
  • Minimum of two years of management and supervisory experience in appropriate program setting.
  • Minimum of bachelor's degree. A master's degree in a related human service field is strongly preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of training and experience may be substituted for the educational requirements and/or Q.H.P. status.
Salary Range $110,000-$120,000. Sign-On Incentives include:
  • LMHC, LCSW $8,000
  • LMSW, LMFT $4,000
