Industry Tools, Equipment and Uniforms ProvidedPaid training and Career Development OpportunitiesJoin the team at Standard Plumbing and Heating!Our professional and knowledgeable team is recognized as providing quality service to commercial and industrial customers in the area!Job Duties and Responsibilities:Install, maintain, inspect, evaluate, and troubleshoot equipment and controls to ensure continued safe operation and maximized life cycle performancePerform routine repairs as well as respond to essential repair callsIdentify and evaluate concerns with the current HVAC systemDiscuss heating-cooling system malfunctions with customers to isolate problems and/or verify that malfunctions have been resolvedRecord and report all faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences, as well as the time and materials used on work ordersAssist with other work in coordination with repair and maintenance teamsGenerate work orders that address deficiencies in need of correctionKeep a maintained and organized company vehicle and identify vehicle problem areas that surfaceOther duties as assignedEducation/Experience:High School diploma or equivalent and 7-10 years maintenance & repair experience in the HVAC and refrigeration tradeKnowledge of HVAC repairs, maintenance, and installation techniques, electrical circuits and wiring, operating principles of motors, and local electrical codesAbility to communicate effectively with internal team members and customersAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsValid driver's license with a clean driving recordAbility to pass drug screen and background checkPhysical Demands:Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force on a frequent basis.Climbing up and down laddersTight space work required at timesOperate hand-held power toolsPhysical demand requirements are at levels of those of medium work.This job operates primarily alone on HVAC and boiler equipment but at times may operate as a team as well in all environments, which includes extreme cold or heat depending on the time of year. Vehicles are used as the base of operations.
