Unless specifically stated otherwise, this role is On-Site at the location detailed in the job post.Job Summary:Manages service operations within the dealership to maximize return on investment and optimizes Service Department processes to ensure customer satisfaction. Grows service labor sales and controls expenses.Job Duties:Develops, communicates, and monitors Service Department processes to ensure customer satisfactionCreates annual Service Department goals and budget, in alignment with the organization's financial and operational objectivesExecutes Service Department marketing plan and monitors monthly to achieve departmental goalsCoordinates customer clinics, field days, and related promotional eventsSubmits service warranty and Product Improvement Program claims within the required timeframe to receive maximum creditSchedules and assigns jobs and work areas to employees in the Service Department according to their skills and knowledgeReviews work orders for completeness and accuracy prior to customer billingEnsures all departmental tools, equipment, and vehicles are in good working order and DOT vehicles are in compliance Manages recruiting, staffing and employee development activities for employees reporting to this positionCoaches employees who drive company vehicles to follow established protocols to ensure safe driving behaviors adhering to GeoTab and Lytx guidelines, etc.And other duties as assignedAdditional Qualifications/ResponsibilitiesQualifications/Requirements:3+ years experience in Service Department operationsAbility to use Microsoft Office and the internetAbility to write and speak effectively to individuals and groupsFamiliar with John Deere and competitive productsBasic understanding of financial principles relative to Service Department operationsAbility to analyze and interpret internal reportsAbility to work extended hours and weekendsExcellent customer service skillsHigh School Diploma or equivalent experienceValid Driver's License with a clean driving record
