  • Oversee all service activities of the yard.
  • Responsible for quality of equipment and recovery of rental damages. In addition, ensures service operations are properly documented, and the shop environment remains well organized and safe.
  • Keeps customer satisfaction in the fore-front of all service personnel.
  • Essential Duties Help shop foreman make daily work list for technicians.
  • Supervise Service personnel. Assign shop foreman priority task.
  • Choose and communicate what equipment to display.
  • Review work orders daily.
  • Approve repairs to equipment.
  • Approve work orders before closing.
  • Manage all rental damage issues.
  • Manage all customer service request.
  • Coordinate equipment needs with Rental Coordinator.
  • Evaluate Service personnel's job performance.
  • Maintain communication between all departments.
  • Maintain communication with customers on equipment issues.
  • Organize equipment on yard.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules and regulations in written or verbal form.
  • Comply with government safety requirements and other regulations.
  • Conduct department safety meetings upon request. Attend department, store, and safety meetings.
  • Perform other duties as requested.
Education, Skills and Requirements:
  • High School diploma is a must; College or Associate degree preferred
  • 3-7 years of experience in heavy equipment management role or similar industry preferred.
  • High level of dedication to a culture of collaboration and system optimization
  • Construction and heavy equipment background, as a Mechanic, or construction supervisor.
  • Welding and fabrication background, in a Maintenance, and or new fab environment.
  • Management experience, Supervisory experience as a Foreman, Site supervisor, Shop supervisor, or Project manager.
  • Training, past courses in management, and supervision, desired.
  • Experience in CPM, and Quality Control is a plus.
  • Applicant's must have a valid drivers license, high school diploma and be able to pass a physical, drug screen and background check.
  • Capable of safely operating basic hand tools, hydraulic lifts, dollies, and pallet jacks, excavators, compactors, boom trucks, aerial lifts and various other equipment types.
  • Comfortable performing in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects
