PurposeUnder limited supervision, repairs and rebuilds concrete pumps and heavy equipment. Essential Job Functions
- Troubleshoot equipment to evaluate repairs that are needed on concrete pumps/heavy equipment.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical problems and complete appropriate repairs.
- Follow standard assembly procedures to perform rework and repair on manufactured equipment.
- Disassemble, measure, reposition and install parts to reassemble unit according to engineering drawings, bills of materials, and standard work instructions as required.
- Connect hydraulic lines and fill with oil in preparation for testing.
- Test assembled parts or products to ensure the unit is functioning properly and meets quality specifications.
- Follow established safety and environmental procedures.
- Comply with workplace health and safety policies, safe work practices and procedures.
- Maintain tools and the work space in good condition.
- Maintenance and Service Repair.
- May perform reasonably similar or related duties as assigned.
RequirementsPhysical Demands:
- Perform repetitive work while moving around, under, and over equipment while on the production floor 95% of the time.
- Perform work outdoors in all weather 5% of the time.
- Heavy machinery.
Education/Skills/Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Formal training beyond high school (certification or associate's degree in auto repair), preferred.
- 2-4 years' experience working with heavy construction equipment, preferred.
- CDL driver's license with current health card, preferred.
- Solid understanding of hydraulic, electrical, gas and diesel systems.
- Technical knowledge of the equipment and tools is required.
- Strong Attention to detail.
- Self starter.
- Excellent problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
