The Service Parts Coordinator is responsible for managing all aspects of parts ordering and receiving for the service department. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient service operations by maintaining an adequate inventory of necessary parts and components. The Coordinator works closely with the Truck Manager, Upfit Manager, and other team members to support smooth service operations and accurate financial processes.Essential Job Functions:
- Analyze and forecast parts requirements for upcoming service projects
- Place and track orders with suppliers, negotiating for competitive pricing and favorable terms
- Oversee the receiving process for all service parts, including quality checks
- Manage inventory levels, conducting regular audits and reconciliations
- Implement and maintain an organized storage system for easy part retrieval
- Liaise with the service department to understand their parts needs and timelines
- Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, delays, or quality issues
- Provide regular updates to the Operations Manager on inventory status and supply chain issues
- Work closely with the Truck Manager and Upfit Manager to ensure proper quoting and ordering of parts for the service department
- Close service orders once approved by the Upfit Manager
- Assist in receiving sublet labor and outside purchase orders into the ERP system
- Serve as backup to the parts coordinator and assist the parts team as needed
Supervisory Responsibilities: No supervisory responsibilitiesEducation: High school diploma or equivalent preferred Knowledge:
- 3+ years experience in parts management, preferably in automotive or related industry
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and practices
- Knowledge of ERP systems and work order management
- Knowledge of automotive parts and systems across various makes and models
- Familiarity with supply chain management principles and best practices

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer use

Physical Requirements:
- The ability to wear the appropriate PPE for the job task performed. (All technicians are required to wear safety toed shoes and safety glasses. Painters/ welders are required to wear either PAPRs or full-face respirators and must complete an OSHA medical evaluation/ spirometry test annually.)
- The ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and/or crouch while also utilizing tools
- The ability to climb ladders, scaffolds, or work platforms
- May lift up to 25-50lbs and/or move up to 50lbs with assistive devices
- Must be able to work in extreme weather
- Must be able to operate in noisy environments (?85 Db)
