Responsibilities:
* Service and/or repair vacuum trucks and other types of heavy equipment
* Troubleshoot and evaluate various mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
* Perform some welding and fabrication as required (mig, stick, plasma, torch cutting)
* Read and understand technical instructions (blueprints, hydraulic schematics, diagrams and work instructions
* Operate overhead crane, hoist, forklift, and miscellaneous air and electric hand tools and measuring instruments as required to perform repairs and maintenance
* Complete shop maintenance during down time
* Enter jobs into computer system in alignment with company processes
* Communicate updates on equipment to Supervisor
* Order parts
* Work in alignment with all company and OSHA safety policies
Requirements:
* Ability to assemble components per drawings and/or verbal or written instructions.
* Analyze, troubleshoot and diagnose all systems related to a complete vacuum
system.
* Perform electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical applications,
maintain a clean and safe workplace, must work in a manner deemed safe for self
and others.
* Willingness to work overtime when requested.
* High School diploma or equivalent.
* Minimum of 2 years of mechanical assembly experience with strong mechanical
