Offering quality brands like KOHLER® and Doosan, the BCEW team provides new equipment, service, and rental power solutions for commercial, municipal, and residential facilities that require emergency generator back-up power.What is the job?Our Service Sales Executives are responsible for selling and managing preventative maintenance agreements, repairs, sales, and on occasion rentals for property owners, property managers, and maintenance managers.
- Search out sales opportunities, soliciting potential customers, such as hospitals, commercial buildings, stores, hotels, residences, government facilities, and any customers with generator sets, automatic transfer switches, or switchgear, that would require repair, replacement, rental, and/or a maintenance agreement
- Perform job walks on-site to document all critical information related to efficient planning of parts and service execution
- Quote all incoming request for bids, and perform any inspections providing unit data that may be required in performing service or repairs
- Work with contracts team to properly submit sold preventative maintenance contracts into service management system
- Maintain relationships with existing customers, providing support information and guidance
- Provide customer support, including technical support, problem solving & resolution for customer issues
- Utilize internal CRM to update customer data, create service contracts
- Review competitor's products/services and BCEW's new service offerings to remain competitive
- Participate, when needed, in Accounts Receivable related activities related to issues regarding customers
- Represent Bay City Electric Works at trade shows, building engineering meetings, or other customer meetings.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1-3 years of technical generator experience, strongly preferred
- Understanding of California standby generator regulations and permitting processes
- Knowledge of generator control systems is a plus, but not required
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals
- Ability to write proposals, quotes and professional emails to customers
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Maintain an acceptable driving record to meet insurance standards
- Able to travel to job sites, move across uneven surfaces, climb, reach, and access generators to view serial numbers and parts data

- Competitive Pay & Growth opportunities: Pay range for this role is $40,000-60,000, dependent on experience, plus commissions of $50,000-150,000 and vehicle allowance
