Packer City/ UP International is looking for an Assistant Shop Manager to join our team. We are looking for outgoing, self-starter to work with our shop technicians on daily repairs as well as work with our customers on a daily basis. Our successful dealership is seeking an experienced and dedicated Service Manager to join our growing team. We are looking for an energized, self-starting individual who can work well in a team and by themselves who shares the same importance of customer service as we do!

**Responsibilities:**

* Prioritize and assign the daily work in the shop to the team members

* Assist in the development of our Technicians and participate in measuring performance, providing feedback, and conducting performance reviews

* Contribute to and improve upon our safe and positive teamwork environment

* Reinforce safe work methods and safety requirements

* Assist in the professional development of our Service Writers

* Manage the Service repair order process from initiation to invoicing

* Effectively coordinate with other company departments

* Create repair estimates for customers and the Sales department when required

* Directly communicate with customers on larger repair estimates or when additional repairs or changes to the original estimate are needed

* Monitor the progress by conducting periodic spot checks of all jobs throughout the day to insure we meet our customers expectations on timeliness and craftsmanship

* Ensure the compliance of all Federal, State and local regulations that affect service operations such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA, EPA, etc.

* Understand and ensure that OEM warranty repair procedures are adhered to and the required documentation is created

* Make suggestions and recommendations in support of continuous improvement to our processes and overall operations

* Complete other projects as assigned by Service Manager

**Qualifications:**

* Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record, CDL preferred ( or obtained within 6 months of hire)

* Ability to work well in a team environment and effectively manage time

* Superior communication and customer service skills

* Solid leadership skills

* Possess critical thinking skills, problem solving skills, and the ability to apply sound judgement in decision making

* Planning and organizing skills with the ability to re-prioritize as needed

* 3-5 years prior leadership experience ( Foreman/Assistant Manager) preferred
