Job Description:

The Educational Service Center of Northeast Ohio is seeking interested and qualified candidates for the position of Service Team Associate employees for our Ohio Substitute Teacher Services department.

The position is full time employment, Monday through Friday in an office workplace located at 6393 Oak Tree Blvd., Independence Ohio 44131.

The assignment includes daily monitoring of teacher absences and working to fill these temporary vacancies with substitute teachers. Serves as a point of contact to client districts. Assists with recruiting, interviewing, and reference checks for potential candidates, including attending onboarding orientations as needed.

Qualifications:

* Holds a high school diploma or equivalent.

* Demonstrates a high degree of knowledge of office skills including keyboarding, word processing, financial practices and procedures, filing, and receptionist.

* Demonstrates a sincere desire to aid all staff members and the community.

* Ability to communicate ideas and directives clearly and effectively both orally and in writing

* Works effectively with others (e.g., coworkers, supervisors, and Governing Board members).

* Takes directions and follows through in a timely manner.

* Works with little or no supervision.

* Effective, active listening skills.

* Good organizational and problem-solving skills.

* Possesses a valid Ohio driver's license.

* Completes documented evidence of a clear criminal record.

Description:

Key Functions:

Duties and Responsibilities:

System Manager:

* Uses the online substitute management system daily and proficiently to maximize fill rates for clients.

* Troubleshoots potential issues communicate concerns as they relate to teacher absences and coverage and maintains consistent communication.

* Run and analyze reports to determine high-need areas.

* Serve as district contact for substitute teacher needs.

* Compiles statistics when necessary.

* Assist with changes in client district systems as necessary.

* Update school closings when applicable.

Recruiting:

* Interview candidates.

* Maintain job postings.

* Check candidate references.

* Assists with onboarding orientations, as needed.

* Assist with recruiting events.

* Sends job postings to colleges and universities, specialty job boards, cable television, or newspapers as needed.

* Assists staff and substitutes with the training process as needed.

* Remains current with ODE licensure requirements.
