Service Tech-Plumbing & HeatingIpswich, MACompensation: $38-$42/hr. + CommissionsBenefits: Truck, Gas Card, Cell Phone, Medical, 401k w/ company match, PTODefinition of Role:As a Service Tech you report to an assigned Project Manager. You are responsible for ensuring that you deliver exceptional service and quality to our customers and contractors. You are responsible for all aspects of the service call including making sure you are in a safe work environment, the quality of the product which is being delivered to our customers and the professional environment you are creating that best represents the company.Primary Responsibilities:
- Being on time neat prepared for the day.
- Know your project and the scope of the work
- Manage stock in your truck utilizing Sortly.
- Customer service skills: Service Techs need to be able to effectively communicate with customers to diagnose problems and explain solutions.
- Communicate daily with the service dispatcher and your Project Manager.
- Problem solving: When something goes wrong with a plumbing system, it is up to the service tech to diagnose the problem and solve it. This requires excellent problem-solving skills
- Weekly time sheets must be submitted accurately and on time The last day of your current work week.
- Daily invoices completed and submitted by the close of that business day and make sure any issues that arise on the job are immediately brought to the attention of the service dispatcher and your Project Manager.
- Maintain a weekly efficiency rating of 85%. This is measured by your total hours worked divided by the total number of hours billed. Example: On a 40-hour work week you need to invoice 34 hours for that week.
- Selecting the most cost-effective quality products for installation and repair.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Successfully completed Massachusetts apprentice program
- Licensed Plumber in Massachusetts, (New Hampshire and Maine License a plus).
- Physical strength and stamina are essential because it can be a physically demanding job. Service techs need to be able to move heavy objects and work in uncomfortable positions.
- Holds a valid Massachusetts drivers license.
- Available to work nights, weekends, and off hours.
- Strong communication skills
