The Service Technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain vehicle production according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the business goals and objectives. A Service Technician with GreenPower Motor Company will possess the technical acumen and ability to provide high level customer service to our customers. An ideal candidate is a team-orientated self-starter who is experienced in automotive repair in medium to heavy duty vehicles. This position requires high level critical thinking, conceptualization, implementation skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast pace environment.
- Responsible for maintaining a high level of professionalism with customers and establishing positive rapport
- Performs highly diversified duties to install, repair, and maintain multiple components of vehicles.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of vehicles during and post production.
- Performs scheduled maintenance repairs of vehicles and production equipment.
- Performs machinist duties and responsibilities.
- Collaborates with the Operations team to identify solutions to reduce customer impact
- Thoughtfully responds to customer inquiries and escalades operational issues in a timely manor
- Administer vehicle warranty repairs in accordance with manufacture warranty guidelines
- Analyzes and reports any gaps in service that may result in customer impact
- Performs detailed daily record keeping and reporting
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Meet requirements of the state and federal law for automobile repair and consumer protection
- Performs other duties as assigned

- Basic computer skills with an emphasis on Microsoft Office and Google Suites
- Must be available for a regular schedule of 40 hours a week, including weekends and holidays, according to business needs. Shifts may include evening, overnight, or early morning hours.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee most frequently lifts and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.WORKING ENVIRONMENT
- This position requires up to 50% travel. Travel may be outside the local area and overnight.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
- Must have the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
