Department: ServiceReports to: Service Manager or Shop ForemanSupervises: NonePurpose:Performs service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealership owned agricultural and turf equipment. May include diagnostic service and repair. Responsibilities:
Performs basic repairs on agricultural and turf equipment and established Ag Management Solutions (AMS) products. May include diagnostic service and repair.May perform diagnosis and repair in field when necessary.Meets minimum recovery and efficiency numbers.Adheres to prescribed work schedule.Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.Completes all paperwork required in conjunction with work assignments, including accounting for all time on timecard and for all materials used in performing work assignments. All paperwork including timecards and work orders are to be submitted as quickly as possible.Conduct or support customer clinics.Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.Participates in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge.Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion. Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools and equipment.Maintains a high level of personal hygiene and neat appearance.Maintains a high level of customer service, conducting self in the presence of customers in a manner befitting the image of the company. This includes but is not limited to the ability to clearly explain to the customers satisfaction, if called upon to do so, the diagnosis and repair of the equipment being discussed, responding promptly to customer's needs and managing difficult customer situations.Keeps a positive attitude throughout each day and cooperates with all co-workers, vendors and customers to ensure a productive work environment, working to develop a sense of team among all departments.Works with integrity, always upholding company values.Reports all problems affecting the customer relationship with the dealership. Alert other departments with customer concerns as well as potential sales opportunities.Adapts to changes in the work environment.Communicates improvement processes to management team.Promote and incorporate our core values of Teamwork, Integrity, Value, Improvement, Communication & Knowledge consistently in actions and communication.Perform other duties as assigned by management.Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge: Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures.Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and turf equipment.Ability to use basic computer functions.Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes.Proficient oral and written communication skills.Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly.
