Job DetailsJob LocationBigfoot Beverages Springfield - Springfield, ORPosition TypeFull TimeSalary Range$27.89 HourlyJob ShiftDayJob CategorySkilled Labor - TradesDescriptionAs a Service Technician, you'll be the go-to person for installing, setting up, repairing, and maintaining our equipment at different accounts. You'll get to use your troubleshooting skills to figure out the best way to fix or replace things, keeping everything running smoothly. You'll work closely with the Lead Service Technician, Area Manager, and account teams, so good communication is key. It's a hands-on, problem-solving role with lots of variety, and you'll get to make a real difference every day.Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Service company equipment and machines within accounts as scheduled and communicate with manager if service needs to be re-scheduled. Receive dispatched service calls and problem solve with managers or other technicians when resources are needed, or questions arise.
  • Transport company equipment and machines from warehouse to designated accounts in a safe and efficient manner. Complete all applicable paperwork and follow up in accordance with company procedures.
  • Install a range of company equipment or machines at accounts including but not limited to fountain, vending and coffee machines, beer taps or coolers. This process may include making holes and route lines to connect products to dispensing unit, connecting water and gas supply and finding drains for units with ice.
  • Complete repair work, preventive maintenance and cleaning on any existing equipment prior when necessary.
  • Set-up, deliver and unload special event equipment or product at designated locations when scheduled.
  • Establish and maintain customer relationships through a high standard of professionalism, behavior, respectful and attentive communication. Be courteous and responsive to customer service opportunities with a close attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to service all company related accounts.
  • Follow company and account operating procedures when servicing accounts. This includes but is not limited to signing in & out, use of equipment and designated business hours.
  • Maintain sufficient inventory of parts within service vehicles.
  • Communicate service updates, areas for problem resolution and scheduling conflicts with Lead Service Technician and Area Manager.
  • Perform on-call duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to all requirements for vehicle cleanliness and safety, follow all traffic laws and company vehicle policies.
  • Observe company safety guidelines and practices in every phase of work. Report all hazardous conditions, safety concerns, injuries, incidents or property damage to your manager.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • This is a safety-sensitive position with the responsibility to always be cognizant of their own safety and the safety of others, must have the ability to perform job functions in a safe manner, and operate company equipment and/or vehicles with good judgment and awareness of surroundings at all times.

  • Work EnvironmentThis job operates primarily in the trade, with frequent warehouse exposure, and does require travel within the designated market. This role routinely uses standard warehouse equipment, power tools and mechanics tools such as a hand-truck, pallet jack, forklift, electric drill, Sawzall and lifting platform as well as drive a company vehicle.Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position. The schedule has varying shift times and days based on the needs of the business. 40 plus hours weekly, with mandatory overtime as necessary. There will be rotating on-call shifts during the evenings and weekends. This is a non-exempt level position. These applications are being solicited in anticipation of a possible labor dispute. Positions may or may not be permanent. Positions may still be available after an agreement is reached. Important: Since Bigfoot Beverages is engaged in collective bargaining, the above wages are subject to change. Required Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED Required.
  • Experience with mechanical, electrical or refrigeration systems.
  • Valid DOT Medical Card Required.
  • Preferred Education and Experience
  • Technical degree or certification.
  • Equipment installation experience.
  • Additional Eligibility QualificationsEmployee must meet company standards for driving a company vehicle, pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
