Summary
Automotive Service Technicians quickly and efficiently perform routine maintenance and identify the cause of breakdowns and repair them using the most optimal solutions.
Responsibilities
* Performing work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and/or manufacturer standards
* Diagnosing, maintaining and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc. to specification
* Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
* Test-driving vehicles and testing components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
* Providing labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs
* Explaining mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers
* Continuously learning new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.
* Inspecting and testing new vehicles and recording findings so that necessary repairs can be made
Qualifications
Qualifications
* Previous Dealership experience preferred
* ASE and/or manufacturer certifications a plus
* Automotive background
* Teamwork skills
* Must have clean & valid driver's license
