Your daily responsibilities of this role include assembling new automated/control valves. The Job:
- Assemble and calibrate automation and control valve packages, ensuring precision and functionality.
- Analyze valve problems and choose corrective action.
- Read and interpret schematics for assembly, repair and reassembly as required.
- Work meticulously within tight tolerances to ensure product quality and performance.
- Read drawings, job orders, tooling instructions, or standard charts to execute tasks accurately.
- Maintain a strong commitment to quality and safety to avoid rejections and ensure a safe working environment.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and consistently meet critical deadlines.
- Contribute to ongoing efforts to enhance output, quality, and delivery through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Possess knowledgeable in bolt torquing techniques to ensure proper valve assembly.
- Ability to work in a shop atmosphere and outside in customer owned facilities, delivering top-notch service.
Qualifications:
- Technical Degree or 2+ year of valve experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to use Vernier calipers.
- Possess knowledge of and safely use basic hand tools for valve maintenance.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills, enabling clear and concise interaction with colleagues and clients.
