Description of the role:Harrisonburg Hyundai is seeking a skilled and motivated Service Technician to join our team. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Hyundai vehicles to ensure customer satisfaction and vehicle performance. State Inspectors encouraged!Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and tire rotations
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in Hyundai vehicles
  • Conduct vehicle inspections and provide recommendations for necessary repairs
  • Record all services and repairs performed on vehicles
  • Ensure customer vehicles are clean and ready for pick-up after service
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as an automotive technician, preferably with Hyundai vehicles
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, and braking systems
  • Ability to use diagnostic equipment and tools effectively
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

You must have technician experience, and a state inspection license is a huge plus. You must be efficient and ethical, and be able to diagnose, repair, and help maintain our clients' vehicles.   • Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
  • Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
  • Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
  • Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
  • Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Strong automotive background
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Willing to submit to a drug screen & background check
  • Must have clean & valid driver's license
