The A.C. Coy Company has an immediate opening for a Service Technician in the greater Pittsburgh area. Ideal candidates would need 2 years experience as a service or mechanical technician, diesel mechanic, or equivalent relevant vocational trainingAll potential applicants are encouraged to scroll through and read the complete job description before applying.ResponsibilitiesMust help in keeping autonomous truck fleet safe, operational, and reliableInspect and certify the operational efficiency of truck by conducting routine inspections, diagnostics, and repairsCollaborate with Fleet Operations and respond to fleet blocking issuesSchedule preventative maintenance inspections and repairs with 3rd partiesWork cross functionally with Engineering & Hardware teams during vehicle intake, acceptance, and commissioningPerform diagnostics using engine Original Equipment Manufacturer software or similar. (Cummins Insite, Diagnostic Link, Wabco Toolbox, Bendix, etc.)Identify opportunities to streamline processes, and optimize resource utilizationTrack, and record repair orders through the fleet maintenance systemIncrease overall efficiency in trucking operations through continuous improvement initiativesMust be willing to travel as needed, about 10-20%QualificationsExperienceAt least 2 years of experience as a service technician, mechanical technician, or diesel mechanic; or have completed equivalent relevant vocational trainingOEM training and/or ASE Certifications, preferredExperience diagnosing and repairing modern CAN bus-based automotive systemsMust have experience working in highly technical environmentsMust be flexible to work varying shifts and travel if requiredPreferred ExperiencePrevious experience working on Autonomous VehiclesUnderstand 49 CFR Parts 379, 390 & 396Current CDL with a driving record in good standingLinux experience / Command lineBasic hardware networking
