Brief Description:
The Service Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain EV vehicle production according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the business goals and objectives. A Service Technician with GreenPower will possess the technical acumen and ability to provide high level customer service to our clients. The ideal candidate is a team-oriented self-starter who is experienced in automotive repair in medium and heavy-duty vehicles. This position requires high level critical thinking, conceptualization, implementation skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast pace environment.
Responsibilities include:
* Maintaining a high level of professionalism with customers and establishing positive rapport.
* Performs highly diversified duties to install, repair and maintain multiple components of vehicles.
* Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of vehicle during and post production.
* Performs scheduled maintenance repairs of vehicles and production equipment.
* Performs machinist duties and responsibilities.
* Collaborates with the operations team to identify solutions to reduce customer impact.
* Collaborates with the Engineering team to identify solutions to reduce customer impact.
* Performs detailed daily record keeping and reporting.
* Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
* Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
* Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
* Meet requirements of the state and federal law for automobile repair and consumer protection.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
* Proficiency within Microsoft Windows Applications.
* 3+ years of automotive/truck/bus manufacturing.
* Strong mechanical background on bus/RV/Truck.
* EV knowledge preferred.
* Knowledge in hand and air tools, welding, overhead cranes, electrical LV and HV.
* Strong organizational skills.
* Ability to travel up to 50% of time.
* Must have current driver license and maintain.
Physical Requirements:
* Prolonged periods of standing.
* Required to walk, reach with hand and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb and crawl.
* Regularly lift and move up to 10 lb.: frequently lift and move up to 30 lbs.: occasionally lift and move up to 50 lbs.
* Ability to see and adjust visual focus both up-close and at a distance; position requires peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to see and distinguish colors.

Working Environment:
* Exposure to high- levels of noise.
* Exposure to high voltage components.
* May be exposed to caustic fluids and fumes.
* Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots and hardhats.
* Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
* Position may operate a motor vehicle and may work outdoors.
* Be available for regular schedule of 40 hours a week, including weekends and holidays, according to business needs.
* Shift may require evening, overnight, or early morning hours.

Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation for this position will be in the range of $25 to $37 per hour.
