Location: Hutto,TX, USA
The Service Technician will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of component cable, category cable, fiber, wireless access points, cameras, access control devices, and other low voltage cabling and devices with or without direct onsite supervision.
Essential Functions
Install, Service and Maintain of various access control devices and electrified door hardware
Install, Service and Maintain various cameras
Install, Service and Maintain cable pathway systems to support security and network systems
Maintain company-owned equipment
Work in a team environment with other service team members
Observe all safety rules and best practices
Perform other duties, as required
Shall demonstrate a willingness to learn and work well within a team environment
Security system installation, programming, configuration and troubleshooting on industry leading video surveillance and access control platforms
Program alarm system components, DVR, NVR, software
Install, program, and service intrusion detection devices and systems
Provide prompt responses to customer service requests
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of have 1 year of experience in the physical security, IT or electronics field
Experience in configuring access control and surveillance systems
High school diploma or equivalent
Hold a valid driver's license
Own or be able to purchase the following basic hand tools (DRILL, SNIPS, SCREDRIVERS)
No experience to limited experience
Ability to use basic hand and power tools to perform assigned job site tasks
Understanding of safety as it relates to each division and the use of appropriate safety measures in daily tasks
Punctuality and consistent daily attendance
Demonstrated ability to ask applicable questions and willingness to learn new skills
OSHA 10
Be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicles
Successfully pass a background check and drug screen
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to read and use a measuring tape, level and other required tools for installation required
Excellent interpersonal skills, including external and internal communication (written and verbal) skills
Demonstrate a desire to learn the industry that C&B serves
Willing and able to work a flexible schedule when required to meet our customer's needs (nights, weekends, over-night, etc.)
Comfortable with heights, such as working a ladder and/or aerial man-lift
Present oneself in a professional and neat manner
Solid organization, attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
Excellent written and verbal skill required with the ability to communicate and understand detailed instructions
Physical DemandsSpends more than 2/3 of time standing, kneeling/crouching/stooping, using hands and reaching. Spends approximately 1/3 of time walking and talking/hearing. Frequent lifting required of items 25-50 pounds.
Work Environment May require driving to project sites. May be exposed to variable weather conditions. Other conditions may include proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery and using various tools and hardware. Worker is subject to frequent heavy lifting.
