Job Summary:The Service Technician will provide hands-on construction support and oversight for the Fleet team. Working both alongside teammates and, often independently, this role is a crucial part of ensuring projects are completed on time, in spec, on budget, and in top condition to exceed customer expectations. Job Responsibilities: Adhere to Wilmot's Safety protocols, reporting on malfunctions of equipment and/or safety concerns within Wilmot yard.Perform repairs to mobile trailers and storage containers including framing and basic carpentry, electrical, painting, flooring, plumbing, and all other facets of modular building repair.Provide backup for Quality Technician to perform inspections of returned leased buildings to determine repair scope of work.Provide backup for reporting on inventory levels of all equipment/tools/parts/VAPS needed for service tasks and for reorder purposes.Provide courteous customer service as needed with our internal departments.Ensure trailers are ready for scheduled delivery dates adhering to Wilmot's high quality standards.Perform HVAC system checks and maintenance per company guidelines, as qualified.Clean, repair and ensure all modular units are in excellent condition.Maintain the 5S methodology (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain) in the workspace to enhance efficiency and safety.Attend and participate in safety meetings and training sessions.Communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.Provide feedback and suggestions for process improvements to optimize efficiency and safety. Qualifications: High School diploma or GED required.Minimum 1-2 years' experience with hand tools, carpentry knowledge preferred.Modular construction experience preferred.A current valid license and good driving record required.Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment, keeping on-task.Have willingness & ability to learn new construction methods and trades.Ability to lift/move 50 lbs.Be a true team player with a can-do  positive attitude.Good communications skills to interact with internal team.Ability to take direction, manage timelines & deadlines, and offer troubleshooting solutions as needed.Have a solid work ethic that includes doing the right thing, being reliable, trustworthy and honest. #J-18808-Ljbffr
