Unless specifically stated otherwise, this role is On-Site at the location detailed in the job post.DescriptionPerforms assembly, basic diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned agricultural and turf equipment. Responsibilities:Performs basic diagnostics and repairs on agricultural and turf equipment and established Ag Management Solutions (AMS) products through established processes and proceduresPerforms pre-delivery inspection on all types of equipment and other merchandise offered for sale by the dealershipPrepares equipment for delivery to the customer or for demonstration purposes as requiredParticipates in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products, and other allied products Maintains condition of tools and equipmentMaintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashionAssist in the training of technician students and apprentices as requiredFollows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignmentsCompletes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignmentsAccounts for all time and for all material used through EQUIP in performing assigned dutiesUnderstands and ensures adherence to corporate and customer data profilesFollows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignmentsPerforms other duties as assignedAdditional Qualifications/ResponsibilitiesQualifications1+ years of experience performing service repairs preferredAbility to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual proceduresProficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and turf equipmentAbility to use Service Advisor, EQUIP and basic computer functionsAbility to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposesProficient oral and written communication skillsWillingness to learn and work hardAbility to work extended hours and weekends, as neededWillingness to be on-call 24/7, as neededAbility to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedlyBasic Service Technician certification preferredHigh School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associates degree preferredValid driver's license preferredFork lift certification preferred
