Job Description:
This is a 12 month contract with CHS. Hybrid to Eagan M. Remote to start. USC/GC. Linkedin. We are looking for a contract to hire ServiceNow Solution Architect who is a technical leader with a deep understanding of ServiceNow's various modules, Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and ITSM. This role will create a holistic view of the interaction between ServiceNow and its stakeholders. The Solution Architect will work with the Product Delivery Manager to develop and support a roadmap enabling the delivery of capabilities and technology resources and will serve as a subject matter expert for ServiceNow deployment and integration. This individual should be highly motivated with excellent analysis, execution, and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Service Delivery, ITIL, and leveraging ServiceNow to accelerate digital maturity across the enterprise. You must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, be able to provide technical direction to resources outside of direct control and influence teams.You will:•Lead Solution Design: o Take a lead role in designing comprehensive end-to-end solutions on the ServiceNow platform, considering scalability, security, and performance. o Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and align ServiceNow solutions with organizational objectives.•Technical Leadership: o Provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, guiding development teams in implementing solutions that adhere to best practices and industry standards.•Customization and Configuration: o Oversee the customization and configuration of ServiceNow modules, ensuring that the implemented solutions meet the unique requirements of each client and that customization is kept to a minimum. o Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the ServiceNow platform, keeping abreast of updates and new features.•Integration Expertise: o Architect and implement seamless integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems, ensuring data consistency and smooth workflow automation. o Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams as needed.•Client Workshops and Training: o Conduct workshops and training sessions for clients and internal teams on advanced ServiceNow functionalities. o Share insights on emerging trends and best practices within the ServiceNow ecosystem to enhance the skill set of team members.•Requirements Analysis: o Work closely with business analysts to analyze and refine technical requirements, ensuring that proposed solutions align with both business and technical objectives. o Actively participate in client meetings to gather and clarify requirements, providing valuable input and technical expertise.•Continuous Improvement: o Proactively identify areas for improvement within existing ServiceNow implementations, recommending and implementing enhancements to optimize performance and user experience. o Stay informed about the latest developments in ServiceNow and related technologies, proposing innovative solutions to address evolving business needs.•Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: o Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for ServiceNow solutions, including technical specifications, architectural diagrams, and configuration details. o Foster a culture of knowledge sharing within the team by documenting best practices, lessons learned, and reusable components.•Mentorship and Training: o Act as a mentor to team members, providing guidance on ServiceNow development best practices and fostering a culture of continuous learning. o Organize and lead training sessions to elevate the overall technical proficiency of the team.•Client Relationship Management: o Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor on ServiceNow solutions. o Collaborate with sales teams to understand client needs and contribute to pre-sales activities, including solution demonstrations and proposal development.What Experience/Skills Should You Have?•Experience: o Proven experience (5+ years) as a ServiceNow Solutions Architect or in a similar role. o In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow platform capabilities, modules, and architecture. o Strong understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM), CSDM and IT Operations Management (ITOM), Integration Risk Management (IRM) and IT Asset Management (ITAM) processes.•Technical Skills: o Experience with ServiceNow scripting, workflow configuration, and integration techniques. o Involvement with Integration Hub Enterprise and Citizen Development with Application Engine Studio (AES). o Ability to lead and mentor development teams, providing technical guidance and support.•Certifications: o ServiceNow certifications (ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist, ServiceNow Certified Application Developer, etc.).•Communication Skills: o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.What Are Some Nice to Haves?•Education: o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.•Experience: o Additional years of experience beyond the required. o Previous experience in Agriculture or Energy Industries•Technical Skills: o Experience with advanced ServiceNow functionalities, such as Performance Analytics and Service Portal. o Expertise in ServiceNow platform upgrades and migrations. o Ability to apply knowledge to new ServiceNow modules.•Certifications: o Additional relevant certifications in ServiceNow or related technologies.•Leadership Skills: o Demonstrated leadership skills in guiding development teams and overseeing complex ServiceNow implementations.•Client Interaction: o Proven experience in client-facing roles, including conducting workshops, training sessions, and solution demonstrations.•Innovation and Continuous Learning: o Track record of staying abreast of emerging trends in ServiceNow and related technologies. o Contributions to the ServiceNow community, such as blog posts, webinars, or open-source projects.•Mentorship: o Previous experience as a mentor, providing guidance and support to junior team members.•Problem-Solving: o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and propose effective solutions.•Adaptability: o Ability to adapt to evolving business needs and technologies, demonstrating a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
