Seeking a Settlements Lead in the Omaha Area!!
Job Description
We are seeking a Settlements Lead to oversee the daily functions of our Settlements group, focusing on the processing of high-volume grain and other commodity tickets. The role involves manually and accurately inputting data related to receiving, storing, and shipping grain for all company locations. The Settlements Lead will also maintain and manage customer orders, correspondence, and contracts while directly supporting Traders, Stakeholders, and Commodity Leaders.
Responsibilities
+ Maintain current and up-to-date daily invoicing, applying incoming cash, and processing accounts payable.
+ Process high-volume grain and/or freight settlements accurately and in a timely manner.
+ Resolve discrepancies on accounting records between customers and the company.
+ Work on escalated issues, consulting and collaborating with others for sound resolutions.
+ Collaborate with traders, accounting, and customers to accurately maintain customer accounts.
+ Ensure grain is settled with clients in accordance with contract specifications and company policies.
+ Provide timely turnaround of payments and invoices to many customers.
+ Reconcile shipments, receipts, payments, and contract balances.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in accounts payable, invoicing, and processing high-volume grain and freight tickets.
+ A minimum of 2 years of experience in a fast-paced office setting.
+ Prior experience in the grain or freight industry.
+ Proficiency with software applications; experience with Grain works is preferred but training will be provided.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate solutions effectively.
+ Capable of taking ownership and understanding the importance of the role within the department, facility, and company.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ An Associate's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field, or a combination of education and relevant experience is desired.
+ Industry certifications are preferred.
+ Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
+ Ability to lead and train settlement specialists, providing on-site leadership in relation to the Settlement function.
