Career Opportunities with Len the PlumberCurrent job opportunities are posted here as they become available.Join our Len the Plumber Heating and Air Team!!!Sewer Helper - Will work out of the BALTIMORE METRO Branch locationThis is a Full Time Hourly positionMonday - Friday Day Shift with some opportunities for Over TimeThe position of the Sewer Helper is to assist the licensed plumber onsite during the preparation, execution, and cleanup of sewer replacements. We are interested in motivated, skilled sewer helpers who enjoy working in a team environment and are committed to providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers. Join our crews specializing in water maintenance, water distribution, sewer construction, and sewer maintenance. Crew members work in all types of weather conditions, performing tasks related to the maintenance, replacement, repair, inspection, and new installation of various water, sewer, and street infrastructures.Must have OWN TRANSPORTATION!Qualifications: Qualified applicants will ideally possess a minimum of 1 year of Sewer/Excavation work or residential service plumbing work experienceWorking knowledge of the care and use of standard hand tools used in the construction and maintenance of water and sewer installationsAssist the plumber and excavation operator onsiteCut and assemble pipe fittingsAssist in backfill and clean up after sewer is reassembledAdhere to all safety policies and protocolsApplicant must have previous plumbing experience and be able to work in outdoor weather conditionsAbility to follow directions well and demonstrate a sound work ethicHonesty, integrity, and trustworthiness in dealing with customers; some cash handlingAbility to perform strenuous work in varying weather conditions for prolonged periods of time and work while in kneeling, sitting, or prone positions depending upon assignmentAbility to understand and follow specific oral and written instructions, work with others, and deal with customers in a courteous mannerOwn transportation required Experience/Education One (1) year experience in general laboring work which included the use of manual and power-operated toolsHigh school diploma, vocational-technical school, or possession of a GED Certificate.Must be able to pass a drug screen, background, and driving record check Compensation: Based on experienceCompetitive Dental, Vision, and Healthcare Plans401(k) matchingShort-Term and Long-Term DisabilityLife InsurancePTOPaid HolidaysEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) Disclaimer: The above job description is not intended as, nor should it be construed as, exhaustive of all responsibilities, skills, efforts, or working conditions associated with this job.
