Sewer I Job Summary: This position is responsible for operating industrial sewing machines used in the manufacture of filtration products. What you will do:
- Operate and maintain sewing equipment and related parts in accordance with operating standards.
- Meet or exceed consistent daily and weekly output and while following quality guidelines.
- Read and interpret work orders and adjust machines and materials to match, including selecting fabric, thread and needles, mounting necessary attachments and double checking settings before start of producing.
- Ensure integrity and quality of product in accordance with quality standards. Inspect and repair finished products as needed and make adjustments to the machine as needed to prevent quality issues.
- Record accurately all information into the production system once product count is complete. This includes number of pieces completed during each work order during shift.
- Trouble shoot machine and schedule maintenance on equipment as needed.
- Comply with OSHA regulation as well as Menardi safety policies and procedures.
- Comply with ISO processes and procedures to maintain certification.
- Maintain a clean and organized working environment.
- Reliable and punctual attendance .
- Performs other duties as assigned.
We believe you have: Your Experience & Education
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Prefer 1 year of experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment
Your Skills & Traits
- Ability to read English
- Must be able to utilize and read measurement devices
- Basic mathematics
- Ability to interpret production drawings and production bill of materials.
- Good hand and eye coordination
- Flexibility to be able to work in other sewing processes
- Ability to use computer
