Job Purpose/duties

Sewing Machine Operators at Martin-Baker America are responsible for operating sewing related machines including, single needle, double needle, over lock, Adler, post, CNC auto tracker, auto webbing feeder and auto Velcro feeder and other various machines to join and/or reinforce fabric, Velcro, webbing, and other material used in manufacturing of production assemblies.

• Ability to read and interpret complicated blueprints, drawings, flowcharts, and build plans.
• Possess flexibility and the ability to handle multiple tasks independently in an organized manner.
• Acquire skills necessary to operate all sewing related machines including single needle, double needle, over lock, Adler, post, CNC auto tracker, auto webbing feeder and auto Velcro feeder efficiently and effectively.
• Adhere to applicable Martin-Baker America operating procedures and work instructions at all times.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
• Required to monitor work and be self-motivated.

Experience/Education needed to be a Sewing Machine Operator

• Able to measure and work to tolerance of +/- 1/16th of an inch.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
