Hello All, We are in search of a qualified Project Engineer. This role is responsible for managing capital, production readiness, and maintenance projects, reporting directly to the Vice President of Engineering. It will involve developing project scopes, schedules, and budgets, and leading projects as needed. The projects will evolve from installation phases to production and continuous improvement, as this is part of a greenfield startup. Strong organizational and communication skills are critical for success. Job Description: Project Engineer Salary: 95k - 125k Key Responsibilities:
- Develops project documents, including scope, budget, and schedule.
- Prepares drawings, procures equipment, selects contractors, and ensures safe practices on assigned projects.
- Manages project schedules, Gantt charts, and master equipment lists.
- Provides progress reports and presentations to different levels of the organization.
- Oversees field installations, equipment start-ups, and modifications to existing plants.
- Develops new methods to reduce costs, increase efficiency, and improve product yield.
- Recommends plant layout changes and engineering designs to improve operations.
- Offers engineering support for plant maintenance and problem-solving.
- Ensures all decisions are made with safety, quality, delivery, and cost in mind.
Minimum Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Metallurgy, or Civil Engineering (or related fields).
- 3+ years of experience in industrial plant engineering, with project management experience.
- Familiarity with mechanical systems and construction practices.
- Experience in regulated industries (Aerospace, Medical) is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for working with internal teams and external vendors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and AutoCAD.
- Ability to work independently and lead large projects from design through execution.
- Knowledge of automation systems (robots, guided vehicles, warehousing systems) is a plus.
- Experience with manufacturing and warehouse management systems (MES, ERP, WMS).
- Familiarity with lean principles and quality improvement tools (Pareto, 5-why, 8D, Ishikawa, A3).
- Experience working in an AS9100 environment is a plus.
- Ability to travel up to 30%.
