Sponsored Funded Professional (SPF) - Assistant Project Director

The SPF - Assistant Project Director is responsible for the day-to-day contract operations and works closely with the Title IV-E directors at each participating school (referred to as the Consortium).
- Ensure all program and budget proposals, budget amendments, invoices, and financial reports are completed within the allotted timeline and budget according to federal and state contractual agreements.
- Supervise program staff's day-to-day job assignments and carry out all supervisory responsibilities and functions in accordance with GSU's personnel policies.
- Work with GSU's Office of Sponsored Programs and Awards (OSPA) to ensure all pre and post-award procedures are addressed in a timely manner.
- Monitor with the program's Business Manager all monthly and end-of-contract-year expenditures from each program account for accuracy, and facilitate corrections as required.
- Monitor work activities of contracted vendors supporting the program to ensure they meet specific program needs that support program goals.
- Assist Principal Investigator with the required annual program and fiscal reporting provided to DFCS and the Consortium at the end of the contract year.
- Attend state and/or national conferences and meetings, as required or funding allows.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and three years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
Preferred Hiring Qualifications:
- Master's degree in public administration/management, human service administration, or related field with 3-5 years of work and supervision experience in project administration highly preferred or bachelor's degree with 5-8 years' experience in project administration, with 1-2 years supervisory role may be considered.
Location: Atlanta Campus
Salary: $80,000 - $98,000
